On July 28, 2009, the opening ceremony of XCMG’s vicennial celebration was held in Beijing Media Center. Komatsu, Adaro and United Tractors Execute a Basic Agreement Regarding Indonesian Bio Diesel Fuel Project

Komatsu Ltd. (President & CEO: Kunio Noji) ("Komatsu"), PT Adaro Energy Tbk (President Director: Garibaldi Thohir) ("Adaro") and PT United Tractors Tbk (President Director: Djoko Pranoto) ("UT") have executed a basic agreement to jointly advance the Bio Diesel Fuel Pilot Project in Indonesia (the "Project"). By March 31, 2010, Komatsu, Adaro and UT will start the Project to produce Bio Diesel Fuel (*1) ("BDF") from Jatropha (*2) and other feedstock plants and operate Komatsu mining dump trucks (payload: 90-ton class, "Komatsu Dump Trucks") fueled by the BDF at the Adaro coal mine in Kalimantan, Indonesia. The project aims to ultimately achieve a sustainable environmentally friendly mining operation in the mining concession area of PT Adaro Indonesia, Adaro's wholly owned subsidiary. Komatsu will establish a BDF plant (production capacity: 1 to 2 tons/day) and a laboratory to ensure quality of the produced BDF on the Adaro coal mine. What’s new in the mini excavator field?

manufacturers are concentrating their efforts on developing new machines and technologies in readiness for when business of mini excavator picks up. A range of mini excavators were unveiled at the Intermat Exhibition held in Paris earlier this year, including JCB’s new 6.5 tonne 8065 RTS tracked mini excavator. This reduced tail swing model replaces the 8060, and features a Stage IIIA(Tier 3), 40.5kw Isuzu engine. It has a maximum dig depth of 4.35 m and a 4.27 m dump height. According to Christophe Lecarpentier, product manager for the compact and heavy line at JCB France, “The dozer blade allows the materials to roll around when pushing the earth providing a better flow of material which helps improve productivity”.
