It is reported two European forklift truck manufacturers are planning to set up sale companies in Shanghai. The two manufactures are OM from Italy and ROCAL from Finland.As a brand of LINDE Forklift Truck Group, OM began to look for a parter as its agent and planned to set up a sale company in Shanghai. OM will rely on the LINDE\'s production base in Xiamen as its assembling factory to sell its products in China. Mack Trucks beefs up employment (2005-4-19)

Mack Trucks has boosted employment at its Lower Macungie Township plant by nearly 28 percent over the past 15 months as it prepares to add a second production shift, the company said.Mack spokesman Bob Martin said the Lehigh Valley\'s largest manufacturing employer had 975 workers at the plant at the ende of last month. That\'s up from 916 people at the start of the year, and 762 on Jan. 1, 2004.Mack, which is owned by Volvo AB of Sweden, makes construction and trash trucks in Lower Macungie.Demand has been strong for those vehicles, particularly for the new line of Granite construction trucks, officials said. Atlas Copco Receives Breakthrough Order from the Liquid Natural Gas Market (2005-4-19)

Atlas Copco has received two large orders for integrally geared turbo compressors for a new application in the liquid natural gas (LNG) market. The total order value is about MSEK 240. The compressors will be used on board ships which will carry liquid natural gas from a large gas field in Qatar.The two orders, received by Atlas Copco Energas, Germany, in Atlas Copco\'s Gas and Process division, are part of a large project. The compressors have been ordered by marine specialist Hamworthy Gas Systems based in Norway, for delivery to three Korean shipyards. The ships will operate between Qatar and the United Kingdom.Delivery will take place between May and September 2006 to the shipyards in Korea, where the vessels will be built. Builders Dig Deep In Raffle (2005-4-19)

Contractors and others involved in the construction sector pulled their pockets for a good cause as JCB and Simpson Mortors teamed up and raffled a JCB 3CX backhoe loader.Raffle tickets were $1,000 each and all proceeds are being donated to the Barbados Children\'s Trust Fund.
