Stewart & Stevenson Gets Additional FMTV Contracts (2005-6-13)

Stewart & Stevenson Tactical Vehicle Systems, LP (TVS) said it has received two contract military truck contracts valued at approximately $264 million. These contracts call up the remaining 1310 option vehicles for the third program year of the current Family of Medium Tactical Vehicle (FMTV) production contract which begins on October 1, 2005. The FMTV trucks include 2.5-ton, 5-ton and 10-ton units in more than 15 active variants. Stewart & Stevenson said it has produced over 27,000 FMTV vehicles since 1991 at its Sealy, Tex. operations.
