Caterpillar Inc.¡¯s annual sales in China is approximately $1 billion (2005-8-22)

On last Friday, Caterpillar Inc., the largest construction machinery manufacturer, said, its subsidiarie in China have signed three non-binding memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with an industrial park development company affiliated with the Shanghai Municipal Government to expand heavy machine manufacture in China. ¡°These actives are real step for Caterpillar to fully expand its deals in China to achieve future growth.¡± said Jim Owens, the CEO of Caterpillar in China. And he said, the Board of Directors held the first meeting recently in China.Caterpillar Inc. founded its office in China in 1978 with marketing center in Beijing. From Jan. to July, Liugong\’s machine products export hit an all-time high (2005-8-24)

Since this year, Liugong products export tend is pleased. From Jan. to July, it exported full machine more than 330 units to southeast Asia, Europe and Africa, increased by 167.2% compared with the same period of last year; amount USD15 million increased by 135.7% compared with the same period of last year. Of which, got 73units order contract from Europe market with amount about USD2.7million that hit an all-time high of Liugong products export in Europe market.On July 19, Liugong exported 33 loaders to Morocco, these loaders included 5 kinds series G loaders such as CLG888 which were the domestic highest technology level, the contract amount was about USD2.3million which is the largest bill since Liugong self-export.This year, Liugong developed new international market such as Commonwealth and Africa while strengthening the origianl southeast Asia market. Dongfeng, Cummins To Jointly Build Engine Technology Center (2005-8-3)

China\'s leading automaker Dongfeng Motors and Cummins of the United States kicked off on July 26 the construction of an engine technology center in the Wuhan Economic and Technical Development Zone in this major city in central China.The center, as the 17th R&D center of Cummins globally and also the first one in China, will cost US$10 million in the first phase, covering more than 7,500 square meters, with four engine testing scaffoldings, one pilot center, one heavy truck testing room and a group of labs.It is expected that the center would provide engineering support and technical support to all production series of Cummins in China, including cleaning diesel engine, natural gas engine, engine units, turo-charger and filter system.
