Cab

Sany Develops and Sells to America World’s Biggest Reach Stacker

Recently, Sany Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. announced the rollout of the world’s largest combined reach stacker – RSC45C2-P, which has been sold to America. This new machine, tailor-made for the American market, has no doubt instilled new confidence into Sany in the context of the global economic downturn.

Sany is the only company in China capable of producing this type of machine
At the end of 2008, the Harbor Machinery Division of Sany Heavy Industry received an order from Alaska, America for a reachstacker with a combined telescopic spreader, a product much needed in the European and American market. As no companies in China at the time had the technological know-how or the capability to produce a machine like this, Sany accepted the order and took the challenge. Sany R&D center of harbor machinery developed the machine in less than half a year. Now this solely Chinese-designed product has been delivered to the American customer.
Being the world’s largest, the Sany RSC45C2-P reach stacker, with a total weight of 80 tons, is able to hoist a maximum of 55 ton of goods by design. The machine features high-level electric & hydraulic system, security system, comfortable cab and has applied many proprietary technologies, for example, the anti-collision boom technology, mechanic-electric OPS, and so on.

Tailor-made for the American market
Before this, Sany reachstackers sold to America had all been standard 45-ton types. However, due to the fact that some US ports need to load/unload the container and the lorry at the same time, 55-ton heavier duty reachstackers are also needed. Mr. Zhenhua Liu, general manager for sales of Sany Harbor Machinery Division expressed confidence in this special machine in the American market. With the development of the logistics industry in China, in future, the RSC45C2-P reachstacker will be of use in Chinese ports as well.

During 3 years since Sany Harbor Machinery Division has established, the sales volume leaped from 50 million to 400 million in 2008 and is expected to reach 700 million this year. According to the sales data of first half year in 2009, the sales volume has been increased by 30% comparing to 2008. Sina has issued the Top 7 of the highest buildings in the world. Sany equipments had participated in the construction of the Dubai Tower in the United Arab Emirates, which is the highest building in the world, the Shanghai World Financial Center, which is the fifth highest building, and the International Commercial Center in Hong Kong, which is the sixth highest building.

As the highest concrete structure in the world, the Dubai Tower, which is located in the UAE, has 150 floors, which amount to 704.9 meters in total. In 2004, 21 Sany concrete machines, which were the best concrete equipments in China, arrived at the so called “HongKong in the Middle East” – Dubai, the capital city of UAE, and took part in the construction of the Dubai Tower.

The construction of the Shanghai World Financial Center, which is the fifth highest building, with 492 meters in height, has been finished in 2008. During the construction, the Sany Superhigh Trailer Mounted Concrete Pump continued to pour 30,000 cubic meters concrete to the main building slab in 40 hours. In addition, the single perpendicular pump transferred concrete to 492 meters vertically to the roof sealing, which created a new world record. With a super strong pump ability and stability, the Sany concrete pump has earned the contractors’high praise.

The sixth highest building is the Hong Kong International Commercial Center which has 118 floors. As the final phase of the Hong Kong Kowloon development project, the horizontal height of this multi-purpose building is 490 meters. Four Sany HBT90CH2135D trailer mounted concrete pumps and two wall type 32 meters placing booms had done the concrete job. Mr. Zheng Guifeng, senior executive of HongKong Xinhui Construction Ltd which is the contractor of the International Commercial Center, said that the Sany pipe setup technology and the world’s first super high water clean technology created values for them during the super high building construction.
