What’s new in the mini excavator field?

excavator11 manufacturers are concentrating their efforts on developing new machines and technologies in readiness for when business of mini excavator picks up. A range of mini excavators were unveiled at the Intermat Exhibition held in Paris earlier this year, including JCB’s new 6.5 tonne 8065 RTS tracked mini excavator. This reduced tail swing model replaces the 8060, and features a Stage IIIA(Tier 3), 40.5kw Isuzu engine. It has a maximum dig depth of 4.35 m and a 4.27 m dump height. According to Christophe Lecarpentier, product manager for the compact and heavy line at JCB France, “The dozer blade allows the materials to roll around when pushing the earth providing a better flow of material which helps improve productivity”.
